The owners of the newly built three-story maisonette envisioned a model residence that would combine top-level aesthetics with maximum energy efficiency. Setting high standards, they sought specialized professionals capable of bringing their vision to life.
The specialized EOT-EXE team undertook the implementation of the energy systems from the early stages of the project, ensuring optimal performance and energy savings.
Hybrid System with Solar Thermal and Heat Pump for Heating, Cooling, and Domestic Hot Water Production (DHW)
Solar Thermal
The advanced solar thermal system includes three vertical AND-SOLAR PREMIUM solar collectors, with a total surface area of 8.16 m², which cover the residence’s domestic hot water (DHW) needs while also contributing to space heating.
The AND-SOLAR PREMIUM solar collectors, with an average efficiency index ηcol=67% according to the EN 12975 standard, are among the most efficient flat plate collectors manufactured in Greece and rank among the top worldwide (TOP 5).

For the collection and storage of hot water from the solar collectors, as well as for supplying the system with domestic hot water and heating water, the AND-SOLAR FS1 500L solar flow-through tank, energy class A, was installed.
AND-SOLAR solar tanks, manufactured in Germany under the strictest quality standards, ensure high performance and are specially designed for water heating without the risk of Legionella growth.

The solar thermal system is completed with the Tacosol CIRC ZR 4-16 lt/min dual-line solar station by Taconova Switzerland, which serves as the “heart” of the system, ensuring optimal operation and synchronization of all individual components.
In addition, the Deltasol SLT solar controller by Resol Germany, which is integrated into the solar station, regulates and monitors critical parameters, ensuring maximum system performance.
Heat Pump ARISTON NIMBUS POCKET
The second part of the hybrid system includes the Ariston Nimbus Pocket 110MNET heat pump with hydraulic module, which is automatically activated to heat the water on days with reduced sunshine or when the generated solar energy is not sufficient.
ARISTON, as a global leader in water heating and heating systems, offers innovative heat pumps such as the Nimbus Pocket, energy class A+++. It features Quiet Mode for silent operation and a COP coefficient of up to 5.1, ensuring maximum energy efficiency with minimal consumption.

Concealed Ceiling Fan Coil CARRIER 42ND with Linear Diffusers for Ideal Thermal Comfort
Fan coils are the ideal solution for distributing thermal energy indoors, working perfectly with heat pumps and solar thermal systems. They offer a complete solution for heating and cooling through a single system.
In total, five concealed CARRIER 42ND ceiling fan coils were installed on the two floors, ensuring high performance and excellent aesthetics, combined with elegant linear grilles that fully harmonize with the building’s modern design.

Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery in All Rooms of the Building
One of the owners’ main priorities was to ensure high indoor air quality without affecting the aesthetics of the space with additional ventilation ducts.
For this purpose, autonomous mechanical ventilation systems with heat recovery were selected, providing the ideal solution for effective air management and ensuring a healthy indoor environment. A total of nine Assolo 91-1.0 air-to-air heat recovery exchangers were installed in the building, reducing heat losses by 93% while creating an atmosphere free from pollutants and germs, without releasing heat or energy into the environment.

Remote Control of Heating/Cooling/DHW Production Systems and Automation with SALUS Smart Home Systems
The building’s low energy consumption is also due to the control and automation devices integrated into the Heating, Cooling, and DHW Production systems. The installed SALUS Smart Home system ensures absolute thermal comfort for residents, while also allowing the economical operation of electromechanical systems, ensuring significant energy savings.
Specifically, the following devices were installed:
- Smart Thermostats for Fan Coils – Salus FC600: They provide full heating and cooling control in every room, ensuring complete autonomy and thermal comfort.
- Smart Relays – Salus SR600: They control the Heat Pump and circulator, allowing automatic switching between heating and cooling mode, as well as turning their operation on/off.
- Temperature Sensors – Salus PS600: They were installed in the system’s solar tank for continuous monitoring of domestic hot water temperature, ensuring constant DHW production for the building.
- Smart Lighting Controllers – Salus RS600: They allow remote control of the building’s indoor and outdoor lighting for increased energy efficiency.
- Smoke Detectors – Salus SD600: They detect smoke in real time and provide alerts through sound, flashing light, and free SMS and/or email notifications for immediate response in case smoke is detected.

This project serves as a model for the construction of new buildings or the energy upgrade of existing ones, with particular emphasis on Heating, Cooling & DHW Production systems through Renewable Energy Sources. It also includes critical interventions in areas such as mechanical ventilation and Smart Home systems.
The Energy Saving Tech Force (EOT - EXE) is able to design, study, and implement projects that require high-level expertise and a holistic approach to the needs of modern buildings.
The result of this integrated approach is that the owners and residents of the building enjoy everyday living with absolute thermal comfort, high aesthetics, and an almost zero energy footprint.
